În 16 ianuarie 1910, în Câmpulungul Bucovinei se organizează serbările dedicate lui Ion Creangă. Cu această ocazie, urbea este vizitată de nume sonore din lumea literară a vremii, cele mai sonore fiind Cincinat Pavelescu și Mihail Sadoveanu.
