Peasant house from Bucovina, exhibited at the General Jubilee Exhibition of 1906 - Bucharest.
The jubilee general exhibition (known at the time as the "Romanian General Exhibition", "Exhibitio daco-romana" or "National Exhibition") was celebrated on the 40th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Carol I and had as its object the marking Romania's progress.
"The government agreed with the national sentiment, believed that it could not better celebrate the memorable anniversary… than by organizing a National Exhibition, in which we will put in all forms and in all forms, the past from 1866 to the progress of 1906"
